Brisbane and the Gold Coast's last open-air Drive-In motion picture theatre, formerly Beenleigh Drive-In, opened on Sunday 27th October 1974, it is Australia's most modern Drive-In Theatre.
A Double Bill Smash "The Way We Were" & "Living Free" starring Barbara Streisand and Robert Redford was the opening program. In 2000 the Theatre was renamed Yatala Twin Drive-In when the 2nd giant screen was added. The projection box was built on top of the existing building and the new screen was constructed at the rear of Field No. 1
